Community Center for Youth

The Community Center for Youth, as The Teen Center is known to the students, provides teens from the Walla Walla area with a variety of enrichment, academic and recreation opportunities. More importantly the Teen Center is simply a place that local teens can call their own.

The Teen Center operates out of St. Patrick's Youth Center located at 408 W Poplar St. in Walla Walla Washington. The Teen Center is open from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Fridays 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.).

Thanks to CCY, the cooking and nutrition program has flourish over the next 14 weeks. Also the support from the kids on attending this program has been absolutely amazing as thanks to them our program has gone beyond the 8 weeks we originally had in mind. As a result of their commitment to the program they were rewarded with the opportunity to obtain their food handler permit to work in any restaurant business in the state of Washington, and although only one of them was able to make it for their permit; CCY is committed to give those kids who did not attend the opportunity to obtain it. We will continue our cooking/nutrition program for as long as members want it, and we’re hoping to continue learning as staff and CCY members share knowledge every Friday afternoon.
